Sounds Like: Cuban

Hi there. Wondering if you might want to let folks know that Wallingford has yet another world renowned musician living in the neighborhood? Kiki Valera moved to Seattle a few years ago from Santiago de Cuba and he's going to be playing traditional Cuban music at the Sea Monster Lounge on February 4th with Carlos Cascante, a two time Grammy award-winner from Spanish Harlem Orchestra, along with other talented local musicians.

Kiki is the oldest son of the famous La Familia Valera Miranda septeto & is considered by many to be Cuba's greatest living cuatro player. He is also a multi-instrumentalist (tres, guitar, bass, keyboards & percussion), composer, arranger, sound engineer & producer. After 25 years of directing La Familia Valera Miranda in Santiago de Cuba, this amazing international recording artist has moved to Seattle (Wallingford!!!) where he is currently working on new projects.
